Oh what superb nosh......Shoulder of pork stuffed with anise,garlic and rosemary....calamari and chourico salad,all from the New Rick Stein Mediterranean cookbook.
12 or was it 13 bottles of the Capes finest were quaffed by the inimitable Anke,the rumbustious John Rolfe.Others participating were Linda and Vernon,form across the road,the Birthday Girl Mo.......looking fab as usual,Joan in her lovely white stole (until the accident happened...more about that later.)
Mo served up a mouth watering Pannacotta as well as Pistachio Stuffed peaches.
Sublime weather ..........sitting out on the deck watching fireworks and flares light up False Bay
Peter Riggs,Mike Rossi phoned and wished us well...Mike insisted that the assemblage sing him a song.....which was done with bawdy gusto.....hysterical.
The Accident...............Anke decided to hug me and I waggled my bum which caused the glass red wine in Anke's hand to spill down my back and all over the now famous "White Pashmina"
as well over various items of furnishings......very funny and very messy!
Ah fond memories and what a way yo see in the 2008.
